Tahitian Gardenia, also known as Tiare, is the celebrated Gardenia flower native to Polynesia.  Once reserved for Island nobility, these gorgeous blossoms are honored in the wedding lei and prized by Gardenia lovers for their warm, rich fragrance and complimented with a top note of sweet White Tea.  Try Blend no. 5 layered with our Blend No. 12 or Blend No. 15. 

 

Alcohol free, our hand-crafted perfumes are formulated in a base of natural fractionated Coconut Oil which allows the fragrance to remain largely unchanged over time, and antioxidant Kukui Nut Oil.

Our new Melange Solid Perfume Singles are finally ready...

Our most popular fragrance blends, artfully formulated in our signature base of natural Beeswax and Jojoba Oil.  A perfectly beautiful hand-poured perfume that glides onto the skin and disperses the fragrance notes beautifully. 

At .56 ounces, our new perfumes are more than double the size of our previous solid perfume singles.  This is the perfect size for a handbag or travel because when you love your fragrance it should go everywhere with you. 

Wear our new singles alone or combine them to create a custom fragrance blend.  Choose from:

Melange Perfume Blending Palettes - Think Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness

Every October we are reminded to Think Pink to promote Breast Cancer Awareness.  This year, Melange Perfume has partnered with the National Breast Cancer Foundation.  The NBCF is an amazing organization that promotes breast cancer prevention and awareness through low or no-cost screening and mammogram services and education.  My Grandmother died of breast cancer, which she may have been able to treat had she taken advantage of regular screening.

During October, Melange Perfume will donate 20% of all proceeds from the sale of our Solid Perfume Blending Palettes in our pink Floral Notes Palette on our website.  We will also donate from our wholesale orders to our many stores.  If you are interested in purchasing a Palette from a store near you, please check the locations page on our website.

Our Solid Perfume Blending Palette is a set of four finished fragrances in a natural base of beeswax and jojoba oil.  Each fragrance is designed to be worn alone, or can be blended with any or all others in the palette to create a unique custom fragrance -- custom blending at your fingertips!  Each floral notes palette contains the following four blends:  jasmine and neroli; japanese tea rose and sakura; casablanca lily and tuberose; frangipani and gardenia.

If you are due for a screening please use the month of October to make that all important appointment.  It just may save your life.

Why Do We Number Melange Perfumes??

Why Do We Number our Melange Roll-0n Perfumes?

Each of our 15 perfume blends is inspired by the most sought-after notes in custom blending. They took years to perfect and are still prepared in small quanties to ensure they are fresh. They are numbered in the order they were created. Along the way, we stopped using alcohol. This dramatically changed the perfumes for the better. The beauty of each fragrance note emerges and remains largely unchanged over time. The perfumes have a longer shelf life. Our base of coconut oil fractions is odorless, colorless and natural. Hawaiian Kukui Nut Oil is a natural antioxidant and lends to the beautiful consistency of the perfumes. It costs more to make perfume this way but it is absolutely worth it.


Finally, people love our perfumes for the way they smell. By not listing the notes on the box we remove some preconceived notions people may have about certain fragrances. For instance, I adore and wear No. 8 - a blend of Amber, Vanilla and Plum, yet under most circumstances I do not care for vanilla in any product..... Exploring them is a purely sensory pursuit!

Recently featured in Beauty News LA, our Melange Roll-On Perfume in Blend No.13 is a blend of rich Dark Chocolate and sweet Amber, accentuated with fragrant Tahitian Gardenia and fresh Guava. A long-time favorite of Melange Perfume clients, this blend is popular year-around.  It is my personal favorite for evening and a must-have when I travel, especially someplace exotic (or wish I were someplace exotic)!
