The wonderful thing about Valentines Day is that the smallest of gestures can make the day so special. A hand-written note with a "little something" can make our day. I gave up on fancy dinners in crowded restaurants ages ago in favor of sushi in our favorite little place with our daughter and finally found a Valentines Day tradition I can remember forever.

New Melange Fragrance Selections

Melange apothecary has a large selection of new fragrances and notes for Winter & Spring. While we love them all, here are a few we are using quite a bit this holiday season....

Sugandaraja - A marvelous South Indian Tuberose fragrance. Translated, Sugandaraja means the "king of flowers". We love this note alone or blended with rich tea notes, other rich floral notes such as Jasmine, Amber or Tobacco Leaf.

Tobacco Leaf - Comments range from "very sophisticated and warm" to "a wonderful pipe tobacco". Wonderful with wood notes, green tea, patchouli leaf, sugandaraja, or a hint of black tea in a home ambiance diffuser. My gift in a personal blend to quite a few discerning friends this holiday season..

Black Tea - Anybody who has ever blended in-store with me knows I adore tea notes. We have ginger tea, white tea, green tea, mandarine/tea and a fantastic new Black Tea. This is used with citrus fragrances, warm floral notes, essential oils, or alone.

Fresh Hay - Fast becoming our most popular fragrance for a Home Ambiance Diffuser. Imagine Tuscany in Autumn. Sweet yet complex; appreciated by both men and women and suitable for any area of the home. Wonderful teamed up with a light musk or rich Sandalwood.
