Want to create your own parfum but don't live near Melange apothecary ? Here is your chance!

When you order the Create Your Own Perfume set from our site ($25 at http://www.melangeapothecary.com/ ) we will e-mail you a list of our 80 stock fragrances with detailed descriptions. Let us know which eight fragrances sound the most interesting to you, along with information on the types of fragrances you now use.

We will send you 8 small tester vials of your choice, along with blending suggestions. We will also send one .35 ounce Melange Parfum Concentrate in a convenient roller blended to order & based on your preferences and information.

Last, we store your preferences on a personal profile, just as we do for our in-store clients. You can e-mail or call anytime to have your personal fragrance blend (s) prepared in the products of your choice.

Lelite - Orange & Amber Candles, Bath & Body

It's official. This is our favorite Claus Deco fragrance for Spring 2008. Lelite has been a huge success at Melange since the weather began to warm up; though I feel it has a warmth to it that will continue to endure through Autumn (the rich color does not hurt either).

Warm Amber is enlivened with uplifting Orange flower and Cumquat. The candle is rich and floral and will envelop a good sized room with its fragrance. The soy blend wax with cotton wicks burn beautifully. Try the soaps in your bath or the guest bath -- your guests will thank you. I recently gave a Lelite candle as a hostess gift and received the nicest Thank You card!

Mr. Lage has used his travels wisely. This new to the store, hard -to- find line of fragrances from Paris are just in time for Summer, a perfect time to try a new fragrance. They are also just in time for Father's Day.. we did not forget the men (or the people who shop for them!).

Rose Muskissime: Moroccan Rose, Black Currant & Mango. The inspired blending of Turkish and Moroccan Rose with fruity Currant berries and fresh Mango.

Camelia Chinois: Spectacular blend of Green Tea, Exotic Fruits & Sandalwood. So perfect for the warm weather. The Camellia leaves are used in the manufacture of the worlds finest Green Tea's. These green notes are wrapped with Hesperides & Fruit with sensual base notes of Musk and Sandalwood.

Racine: Vetiver, Bergamot & Lemon. A classic men's fragrance, inspired by the perfumers visits to Comoro Islands Valleys. Sensual Vetiver, highlighted with Oak Moss, Hesperides and musk. Eau de Gantier: Blackberry, Verbena, Bergamot & Musk. Elegant French Verbena that graduates to a medley of red fruits & Hesperides. I took this one home.....

Melange Concrete Parfum & LAFCO Home Candles

What is Concrete Parfum? Melange Concrete Parfum are small containers of fragrance in a solid form. We prepare them in small batches, using pure Beeswax, Jojoba Oil and our wonderful fragrances. They have received a large number of media mentions, thanks to their convenient size (small enough for a handbag or pocket), flexibility (they can be worn alone or blended) and affordability (only $10 each).

In the store, we carry a large variety of fragrances with new ones added regularly. Now, we have added a large selection of new fragrances to our website as well. We list them by fragrance type to make ordering a snap.

1. Concrete Parfum Floral notes & blends: Polynesien floral, Casablanca Lily, Pikaki & Jasmine, Sweet Pea, Tuberose, Peony & Violet, Chevrefeuille (honeysuckle).


2. Fruit & Citrus notes & blends: Grenade (sweet pomegranate), Fromboise (raspberry leaves), Plum Blossom, Mandarine & Green Tea, Orchid & Mandarin, Pamplemousse (grapefruit).


3. Green & Warm notes & Blends: Green Tea, Figuier (fresh green fig), Por Homme, Amber & Sandalwood, Terre (earth), Vanilla.

A blend of fresh Daffodils and Daisies accentuated with notes of Orange Blossom and Honeysuckle, these rich soy-wax blend candles burn cleanly and slowly with 100% cotton wicks to maximize fragrance output. Large by traditional standards, the candle will provide 90+ hours of enjoyment.

The colorful glass container is handblown and unique and will complement any decor in your home. Best of all, when the candle is finished the wax is easily removed and the glass can be used in a variety of wonderful ways in the house.

What is a Private Blending Event? Private Blending Events are held at Melange Apothecary by reservation. We schedule them on Wednesday or Friday evenings, after the store closes, from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

These events are a chance for a small group of people (3 to 8) to get together, explore fragrance, relax and have fun. Melange provides appetizers and participants may bring in a bottle of wine. Each participant creates a custom fragrance (s), which we expertly blend into the product of their choice -- parfum, bath, body or home fragrance item.

Cost: $55 per person, non-refundable. The full cost is applied towards your custom-blended product. Reservations are made in advance by calling the store 818-385-0495, or e-mail: melangeapothecary@socal.rr.com

MOTHERS DAY EVENTS

Melange provides appetizers and tea (Sunday) or appetizers and wine (Wed) and you provide the fun and inspiration. Explore our over 80 fragrances and create your own unique personal fragrance blend (or blends).... we expertly mix your fragrance into the products of your choice. All gift boxed and ready to take home to Mom - or yourself.

Cost: $65 per person. Cost is fully applied towards your custom-blended products.

To keep these events interactive, we must limit each Mothers Day event to 6 participants. Groups of 2 are encouraged to reserve and meet new people!

Spring at Melange Apothecary is off to a wonderful start. Our new location (13632 Ventura Boulevard, Sherman Oaks, CA 91423) is bustling and we love our new neighborhood with its lovely shops and eateries.

When one thinks of Spring, flowers often comes to mind. New to Melange, Tsi-La is an inspired & timely collection of fragrances that are prepared by hand in small batches using only the finest distilled essential oils and plant botanicals. These fragrances are rich, lush and truly multi-dimensional -- they manage to disprove the notion some hold that all natural fragrances are limited in scope.

ILANG ILANG: A rich, sweet floral blend with lush vanilla orchids and fruit accords.

FLEUR SAUVAGE: Neroli, Italian Bergamot, blond wood notes & rich Tuberose.

KESU: Notes of Amber, Wood and Incense with accords of Jasmine and exotic spice.

KIZES: Elderflower blossoms, rich Tuberose, fresh Bergamot and Orange Flowers.
